Darth Bane's journey from a miner with a chip on his shoulder to the restorer of the rule of two and ascension as the premier Sith Lord in the Star Wars galaxy is told masterfully by Old Republic era staple author Drew K. While many of the details got somewhat tiresome, it remained a good back story to the rise of the evil and sinister plans begun by the rule of two Sith approximately 1,000 years before the battle of Yavin. Bane's background is that of the abused working class, so he immediately gained my sympathy. The remainder of his rise to power was interesting.
